Salzburg, Austria: Situated in the northern foothills of the Alps, Salzburg, Austria, is considered to be on of Europe's most beautiful cities. Salzburg is surrounded by picturesque mountains and is near a famous lake district.  The city itself still mirrors in its historical center a thousand years of European history and culture.
