The ICISP Canterbury Summer program
provides students with an exciting and affordable
introduction to modern Britain.
Students attend classes at
Canterbury Christ Church
University, a growing institution with
14,000 students, located near the medieval city
wall and a few blocks away from the well-known
Canterbury Cathedral. Formerly known as Christ Church College,
the College added "University" to its name in 1998
by permission of the Privy Council and dropped
"College" in 2005.
CCCU is noted for humanities
and social sciences, teacher
training, nursing, law enforcement, and social
care. The university is organized around four major
divisions: 1) Arts and humanities; 2) Business and
Sciences; 3) Education; and 4) Health. CCCU offers
online
Facts and Figures about the institution.
ICISP program students will
take six credits: one class in British History and
one class in British Literature. Six field
trips in addition to daily classes have been built
into the program.
